Dear Guests,

We are deeply saddened by the massive loss of life, numbering over tens of thousands and thousands others missing or injured and the devastation throughout Asia caused by the tidal waves that hit the region on 26th December 2004.

There is a dire need for relief supplies such as food, drinking water, water purification tablets, drugs, intravenous infusions, tents etc.

Duxton Hotel is organizing a fund raiser effort to help the people affected with this calamity. Funds collected through this effort will be sent to the reputed non-government organizations like the International Red Cross and Red Crescent

We are now appealing to you for your kindness and generosity to contribute any sum of financial aid to help those in need. The hotel has set up a collection box at the reception area for donation.

The Management of Duxton Hotel Saigon would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your thoughtful and generous contribution to the Relief Fundraising effort for the Tsunami victims which was conducted from 29 December 2004 until 7 January 2005.

Over the 10 days period, donation boxes were place at the lobby and staff canteen of the hotel to collect funds. We would like to officially announce that a total of VND38,475,517.50 or US$2,442.89 was collected.

This money has been sent to the International Red Cross headquarters in Geneva today for their forward action e.g. Purchase food, medical supplies etc.
